Over the decades, the rail transport industry has seen a steady development of technologies, which are often perceived as innovative in their initial stages. Growing competition from various transport-related industries forces the search for new ideas or the application of technologies already successfully used in other industries. New material technologies, digitization, high-speed rail, new types of propulsion, magnetic trains, levitation, autonomy, and transport automation are just some of the szary of activity of rail transport innovators. The aim of the innovation panel is to discuss how to support and develop innovative technologies in the transport industry. How to support new ideas and how to help the authors of new concepts, while being aware that not all ideas, even the most valuable ones, can be implemented immediately for many reasons. The discussion will be attended by representatives of companies and institutions developing, supporting, and implementing innovations in the rail transport industry.
