For 20 years, on the eve of the TRAKO Fair, the Association for Interoperability and Development of Rail Transport has been organizing a seminar, which is entered in the program of the International TRAKORailway Fair. During this year's editionion of the fair, we invite you to the seminar: "Cyber security in rail transport, requirements of the KSC Act, threats, challenges and teams/organizations and their actions", which will take place on September 22 at AmberExpo conference center at ul. Żaglowa 11 in Gdańsk.
In mid -2025, the provisions of the NIS2 Parliament and the Council of the European Union regarding funds for the high common cyber security level were introduced into Polish law. Pursuant to these provisions, the managers and rail carriers must take numerous actions necessary to provide protection against cyber threads. Parallel to the introduction of NIS2 to the national law of individual Member States, the European Parliament has adopted a regulation on horizontal requirements in the field of cyber security in relation to products with digital elements that apply to solutions used for the needs of railways. This regulation gives railway entities a tool, which, however, requires supplementing with rail technical requirements. The intention of the seminar is to summarize the state of clarification and introduction of these regulations in Poland as the most attacked in the cyberspace of the European Union country.
