The technologies of the future depend on how innovative we are today. In the rail transport industry, over many decades, there has been a constant development of the technologies used, which in the initial phase are often perceived as innovative. The growing competition of various transport-related industries forces the search for new ideas or the use of technologies already successfully used in other industries. New material technologies, digitalization, high-speed railways, new types of drive, magnetic trains, levitation, autonomization and automation of transport are just some of the areas of activity of innovators in the rail transport industry. The aim of the panel dedicated to innovation is to discuss how to support and develop innovative technologies in the transport industry. How to support new ideas, how to help the authors of new concepts, knowing that not all ideas, even very valuable ones, can be immediately implemented for many reasons. The discussion will be attended by representatives of companies and institutions that develop, support and implement innovations in the rail transport industry.
