We reward industry champions

In keeping with the Fair's tradition, TRAKO 2025 once again honored excellence
and innovation in the rail industry by presenting awards in 10 prestigious accompanying competitions. These distinctions highlight outstanding achievements in the areas of modern technologies, infrastructure, sustainable development, and social responsibility. Among the winners were companies, institutions, and individuals whose projects and activities not only support the development of rail transport in Poland but also set the direction for its development in Europe.

Award named after Ernest Malinowski

For products and technical innovations used in the railway industry and presented at the Fair. Products and technologies within the thematic scope of the Fair, submitted by both Polish and foreign companies participating in the TRAKO . The prizes consist of two equal statuettes, replicas of the monument to engineer Ernest Malinowski. The jury also awards distinctions. Participation in the competition is based on prior submission.

The competition is organized by the TRAKO (a joint jury with the Józef Nowkuński Competition).

Award named after engineer Józef Nowkuński

For completed line and volume investments, as well as new rail infrastructure investment projects implemented in Poland and rolling stock approved in at least one EU country and presented at the TRAKO (wagons, locomotives, train sets). The awards are two equal statuettes (categories: Infrastructure and Rolling Stock), which are replicas of the monument of Eng. Józef Nowkuński. The committee also awards distinctions. Award named after PROF. Czesław Jaworski

For outstanding achievements in the use of new technologies and electric traction .

Award in the following categories:
infrastructure : includes the traction network and traction substations),
vehicles : includes electrical machines, accessories.

Products entered into the competition should be characterized by: modernity and innovativeness of construction and technological solutions, functionality, and application in Poland.

The organizer of the competition is the National Board of the Association of Communication Engineers and Technicians of the Republic of Poland (SITK RP) . Participation in the competition is based on prior registration.

Award named after PROF. JAN Podoski

The Award of the Chamber of Commerce for Public Transport is intended for the best products and innovative technical solutions and modern technologies in public transport. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Szynowe rolling stock for public transport;
  • parts, components and rolling stock equipment;
  • infrastructure;
  • Other, including systems: control, IT, charging, passenger service, etc.
The competition is organized by the Chamber of Commerce for Public Transport. Participation in the competition based on the previous application.

Award named after prof. Henryk Bałuch

For outstanding doctoral and master's theses in the field of railways in the following industries: railway roads, railway traffic control and management and telecommunications.

The works submitted to the competition should be thematically related to the issues of reliability and safety in relation to the above-mentioned industries.

The organizer of the competition is the National Board of the Association of Engineers
and Communication Technicians
Republic of Poland (SITK RP).  
The submitted diploma theses will be evaluated by the Chapter of the Competition.
The main prize in the competition will be the statuette prof. Henryk Bałuch
and distinctions.

Medal of the President of SEP

This distinction is considered one of the most prestigious in Poland in the field of broadly understood electricity. It is awarded for a particularly outstanding product created by Polish engineers and technicians.

The organizer of the competition is the Association of Polish Electricians. Participation in the competition is based on prior registration.

Media Award Jan Raczyński

Media Award engineer The Jan Raczyński Prize is awarded to journalists and editorial offices for the best publications on rail transport. This distinction supports reliable promotion and dissemination of knowledge about the railway industry in Poland. Candidates for the award may be submitted by press, online, radio and television media that deal with railway issues.

"Socially Responsible Railway Company" competition

This is the 6th edition of the competition, a social company socially organized by the Association for Interoperability and Development of Rail Transport and ASTE Sp. z o. o. during TRAKO . The competition is directed to companies from the broadly understood rail industry, which do "something more" for the environment, community and employees. We encourage you to tell you, promote your actions and find yourself among companies appreciated at the TRAKO .

Participation in the competition requires application until 18.08.2025. The winners of the competition will receive a unique statuette and a cash prize to support CSR activities conducted.

The founder of the awards is ASTE Sp. z o. o.

Competition for the most attractive TRAKO exhibition

All exhibition stands with their own construction are evaluated . The jury's verdict covers two categories: stands up to 30m² and stands over 30m² . Three

equal prizes are awarded in each category.

No applications are required for the competition.
