In line with the tradition of the Fair, TRAKO 2023 celebrated mastery and innovation in the railway industry through 13 prestigious competitions. These awards recognize outstanding achievements in various aspects of rail technology, infrastructure and social responsibility. The 52 winners included companies and people whose activities and projects have contributed or will contribute to the development of the railway industry in Europe.
For products and technical innovations used in the railway industry and presented at the Fair. The evaluation covers products and technologies related to the thematic scope of the fair, submitted by both Polish and foreign companies participating in the TRAKO . For completed line and volume investments, as well as new rail infrastructure investment projects implemented in Poland and rolling stock approved in at least one EU country and presented at the TRAKO (wagons, locomotives, train sets). The awards are two equal statuettes (categories: Infrastructure and Rolling Stock), which are replicas of the monument of Eng. Józef Nowkuński. The committee also awards distinctions. Award named after PROF. Czesław Jaworski
For outstanding achievements in the use of new technologies and electric traction .
Award in the following categories: – infrastructure : includes the traction network and traction substations), – vehicles : includes electrical machines, accessories.
Products entered into the competition should be characterized by: modernity and innovativeness of construction and technological solutions, functionality, and application in Poland.
The organizer of the competition is the National Board of the Association of Communication Engineers and Techniciansof the Republic of Poland (SITK RP) . Participation in the competition is based on prior registration.
Award named after prof. Henryk Bałuch
For outstanding doctoral and master's theses in the field of railways in the following industries: railway roads, railway traffic control and management and telecommunications.
The works submitted to the competition should be thematically related to the issues of reliability and safety in relation to the above-mentioned industries.
The organizer of the competition is the National Board of the Association of Communication Engineers and TechniciansRepublic of Poland (SITK RP). Submitted diploma theses will be assessed by the Competition Jury. The main prize in the competition will be a statuette named after prof. Henryk Bałuch and distinctions.
Award named after PROF. JAN Podoski
For the best products and innovative technical solutions and modern technologies intended for electric traction in public transport. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: rolling stock for public transport; parts, components and equipment of rolling stock; track infrastructure; power and electricity infrastructure; other, including (systems: control, IT, fare collection, passenger service, etc.
The organizer of the competition is the Chamber of Commerce of Public Transport. Participation in the competition is based on prior registration.
Medal of the President of SEP
This distinction is considered one of the most prestigious in Poland in the field of broadly understood electricity. It is awarded for a particularly outstanding product created by Polish engineers and technicians.
The organizer of the competition is the Association of Polish Electricians. Participation in the competition is based on prior registration.
Media Award Jan Raczyński
Media Award engineer The Jan Raczyński Prize is awarded to journalists and editionorial offices for the best publications on rail transport. This distinction supports reliable promotion and dissemination of knowledge about the railway industry in Poland. Candidates for the award may be submitted by press, online, radio and television media that deal with railway issues.

Competition for the most attractive TRAKO exhibition
All exhibition stands with their own construction are subject to assessment . The Jury's verdict covers two categories: stands up to 30 m 2 and stands over 31 m 2 .
Three equivalent prizes are awarded in each category.
