100th anniversary of PKP and the 200th anniversary of the World Railway

Time of great jubilees

The year 2026 will be special for the Polish railway - we celebrate the centenary of Polish state railways. This is a unique opportunity to summarize one hundred years of development, modernization and passion that fueled railwaymen and railway lovers for generations. This jubilee acquires symbolic significance in the context of another important event-falling for 2025 the 200th anniversary of the World Railway.

These two anniversaries create a unique space to celebrate both for the entire railway industry and its enthusiasts in Poland and in the world.

We will start the official celebration this fall - during the International TRAKO . The date of the fair is preceded by a symbolic day of the birth of the railway. Exactly on September 27, 1825, a 19 -kilometer line was solemnly opened, from Stockton to Darlington.

The fair will become the place of the first jubilee accents announcing year -round celebrations and initiatives scheduled for 2026. TRAKO will be an opportunity not only for the presentation of technical and organizational achievements, but also for reflection on the history and future of the railway.
Both the 200th anniversary of the World Railway and the 100th anniversary of PKP remind us how the railway in building modern societies, connecting people, regions and economies plays a great role. Celebrating these jubilees together is not only honoring the past, but also inspiration for further development with a view to the future of transport.

We invite you to participate in the celebration and sharing rail passion!
